i thought i would end on a good note, old mark isn’t all bad.
i actually really like this photo!! it just works, i love the complete white background that accentuates the models body, and he outfit. i also really like her position even though it looks odd it still works. and i like the the photographer has use the rule of thirds in this image, because to make it so much nicer and easier to look at. I also love the eyes of the model, even though they are small they are still piercing. And i also love the random splash of orange in this photo despite the the tone is relatively cool.

This is another photo that i really do not like. i mean the models just look really random. and yes as Neesh Walsh pointed out to me, yes it is high fashion, and yes i know that allows the photographer and designer to be able to whatever they want bit still. i just don’t like this photo. especially the model on the left, she position is just weird and it doesn’t make the clothes that she is wearing look good in any way. and to make things worse she is too dark in this image

OKAY- just to make this clear, i decided to do i photographer that i DON’T LIKE!
i feels really bad, about saying negative stuff about someones work, but hey thats life, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and my opinion for this photo is that i really do not like it. like flip, what is she supposed to be? an old grandma clown that didn’t leave the house fully dressed? and the position that the model is in, she just looks angry and harsh. The model just doesn’t look in what she is wearing, and that is the job of a fashion photographer - to make the model look good in whatever ridiculous outfit she is wearing.

JULIA KENNEDYdesert girl series
seriously, I’m getting the feeling that this photographer is the master of TONE! like i keep saying it has a great dusty earthy fell, yet the sky is this really nice shade of has this really awesome vintage feel. I also like the shadows that are cast on the model, i think it makes the image a lot more interesting. And i gotta admit i think the dress is pretty cool. And again like i have said before for this deserts girl series, i love the combination of a vintage feel image that is also really crisp and clear.

JULIA KENNEDYdesert girl series. (i apologise for the small images)
THIS PHOTO IS IPIC (the NZ way of saying epic)
i love love love love love how the model is standing in front of those plants. It gives such a powerful feel to the image. especially her stance, an d how she is so small compared to all the plants around her . i love the tone in the image, its so earthy and dusty, BUT the image is also really crisp and clear which i love in an image, being able to contrast certain elements but make them work together.

JULIA KENNEDY
desert girl series.
i mean c’mon, this photo is pretty epic!!! there is an actual helicopter in this image, and the model is like fully in the moment with her arms outstretched and face is like “SAVE ME!!” but she still looks really beautiful. i mean check out those legs Az, pretty amazing. I really also like the tone and how the main light is coming from behind the helicopter and the girls arms so it is the focal point of the image. I love the earthy, dusty feel. And the flowing material in her dress, gotta love it!

Title: Submerged
This photo is so gorgeous! her eyes are just so amazing/ and i love the fact that she is submerged in water. i love photos where the model are in the water, its just gives that extra element to the image. and i love how the light is shining on her hair and it is illuminated! and i love the reflection of the light in the water, its absolutely gorgeous, and how she is in detail but the background in blurred, makes the image feel very intimate. And the ripples! i love the ripples in the water! what can i say? this image is ameballz.

Title: Molten
This photo is gorgeous. I love this draped material around her, and how her leg is showing there. Compositionally this photo is gorgeous . Im not sure how i feel about random blurring at the bottom though. and even though I’m always saying less is more, i think this photo could use a little more… of something.. not sure what. Maybe ditch the blur and make the image more crisp so that there is more detail to look at in the draping for more interest.

BOOK 3: SAM
I LOVE THIS PHOTO!!!! it’s so simple and so gorgeous. i love the mist that the photographer and has used for this image, no idea how he has done it but flip, its beautiful. and i also love hoe he has matched the tone of the image to her hair, and how she is standing to the side in the image, she is not fully centred and looking straight on to the camera. how she is posed and where she is looking has such a mysterious, aloofness to it. i find this image so powerful.
